Founded in 1991, Samaritan Health Clinic is a free clinic that provides free medical care to residents of Pickens County who are not eligible for Medicaid, Medicare or private insurance and who have limited income. We serve everyone regardless of race, religion, creed, gender, or national origin. Our mission is “To share the love of Christ by serving people through medical services, health education, and spiritual counseling”. Samaritan Health Clinic of Pickens County is a ministry supported by churches, United Way, civic organizations, Baptist Easley Hospital, Best Chance, Pickens County, Cannon Memorial Hospital, grants, and corporate donations. Many volunteer physicians, dentists, nurses, and specialists throughout Pickens County give additional support. Volunteer activity is encouraged which brings the community and the patients close together in God's love.
Our pharmacy provides life-sustaining medications. We do not stock any controlled substances. A GYN Clinic supported by the Best Chance Network is also held regularly throughout the year where women receive free pap smears, breast exams, and mammograms.
In the fall of 2015 we added a Dental clinic to address the overwhelming need for oral healthcare in our community.
